Cycling Powered by Science

Week of February 19, 2022

Join me one day or all to experience this cutting-edge, “cycling powered by science” program. Each day offers a different “formula” and unique ride. Supercharge your mitochondria, decrease mortality,  metabolize additional fat, burn a ton of calories, and have a blast pedaling away by following proven protocols derived from cardio exercise research.

Well designed indoor cycling workouts help improve your heart health, boost your muscle endurance, and release feel good endorphins (among other benefits).  Benefit from rides that offer specific work to recovery ratios and carefully calculated intensity intervals. Sounds scientific, right? That’s what this specialty cycling program offers: science applied to cycling. Take advantage of this results-oriented, precisely designed set of workouts that are FUN and appropriate to all levels of fitness and cycling experience.

Kymberly Williams-Evans, PhD (ABD) has taught fitness to more than 40,000 participants on 4 continents in 4 languages. Her teaching career spans land, sea, and airwaves and started in the first aerobics studio in Europe.

Former faculty at University of California Santa Barbara in both the Dept of Exercise and Sports Studies and English, she specializes in baby boomer and older adult group exercise. Kymberly holds two indoor cycling certifications, group instruction and Senior Specialty certification through ACE,  earned the Functional Aging Specialist certification, and is a charter member of the 2020 AgeWell Collective.

When not guest instructing at Rancho la Puerta, you can find her in Santa Barbara where she leads cycling classes, writes on fitness topics, and walks her beloved dogs daily.
