An Important Update from The Ranch
Dear Guests and Employees,
I trust this letter finds you well and in good health. It is hard to believe that a few weeks ago The Ranch announced our voluntary closure in response to the COVID-19 virus. Based on the limited information we had at the time, a four-week closure seemed adequate to ensure the safety of our guests, staff and community.
As you know, the situation continues to evolve in the U.S., Mexico and the rest of the world. This has led to more extensive actions and stricter recommendations by local, state and federal governments. These measures have been put in place, to protect all of us and to ensure we do not overwhelm the health care system. As a result, it is both reasonable and responsible for Rancho La Puerta to extend our voluntary closure until we receive guidance of safe travel from our governments.
I am optimistic that if we all participate in mitigating the spread of the virus, the situation will begin to improve, and we will be able to return to a more normal way of life. We all look forward to welcoming many of you back to The Ranch in the near future.
In the meantime, our core team of staff lead by General Manager, Hervé Blondel are on-site looking after our beloved Ranch, tending to the grounds and working on plans to support the reopening.
I cannot stress enough how wonderful all of our employees have been in understanding and dealing with this crisis. Their excellent support over the past two weeks has been truly inspirational, and we are thankful to each and every one of them.
To our guests, who have graciously shared dozens of positive comments, your ongoing support of the Rancho La Puerta community makes us all stronger and helps us all stay focused on the long-term goal.
As we approach our 80th Anniversary this coming June, we are more committed than ever to preserve, improve and ensure that Rancho La Puerta thrives as your home away from home for health, transformation and longevity.
