Chef Adria Marina shares her vision with the nobility of the culture that she embraces with fierce passion. Restaurant Georgina, one of the new classics of Tijuana, offers variety of cuisines spanning the globe. Taking influences from American, Mexican, European, and Oriental fusion, gives birth to a cuisine that she calls “Tijuanense”. Adria owned two famous food trucks, “Don Ramen” (Asian), and Azarosa (Californian French), that over the span of eight years propelled her onto the food scene of Tijuana.

Adria’s joy and passion for cooking continually fuels her to push the envelope on her abilities. In 2022 she was featured on two television shows, battling head to head as the “Challenger Chef” on Iron Chef México and participating as a judge on Top Chef VIP. The awakening of this passion for food started with a childhood curiosity. “Since I was a little kid, instead of looking at the kids menu, I was always drawn to choose the unfamiliar”. To live near the sea introduced exotic, natural flavors. “It was common to go out for a stroll on the beach, passing fruit trees and grabbing some of the low hanging fruits”. Nostalgic language translates into her culinary creations; a language that all of us understand to perfection. This openness to new experiences has been a key tool to aggregate a gastronomic library of cultures around the globe. “Since I was a little girl, it was my dream to travel around the world, now I’ve had the opportunity to do so, it complements my profession by visiting practically all the continents and falling further in love with what I do”. This familiarity with other worlds started at home. “The kitchen has always been a canvas to explore my senses”. From participating in Arabian festivals with my family, to kettle popcorn Sundays; it was the norm to absorb the vast gastronomic culture, but always with her distinctive touch: “Tijuanense”.

Chef Adria Marina, besides being a woman competing in a masculine environment, all experts and patrons describe her as an innovative, joyful, and fresh take on the gastronomic world. Her reputation has been acknowledged with multiple awards, such as the 2020 Restaurant Entrepreneur Merit Award “Nemesio Diez Riega” awarded to the best young entrepreneur restauranter of the year given by Mexico’s National Chamber of Restaurants and Condiment Food Industry, to the MARCOBETETA award (2021-2022), and Georgina has been listed in the Mexican Culinary Gastronomic Guide as one of the best restaurants in Mexico for the past three years.

Her dishes are a trip around the world, with deep roots in Mexican traditions but with a modern enchantment above all. Speaking to what its abundant in spirit and the language between the Chef and the patron, connecting truth and what is real. A noble invitation to go back to childhood and live a magical experience.
