Crossing to Mexico

We look forward to welcoming you to our restorative oasis! We want to remind you that you will be crossing an international border, and a migratory form (FMM) is mandatory along with your valid passport. You will process the form directly through Mexican Immigration Authorities and we want to share with you the two options available to obtain your form. Please review carefully, as the process has changed.

*Recommended option.* Process your visa online prior to your arrival. Please consider the following: 

• This is a Mexican government web page, which can be challenging at times.
• For your safety and convenience, please ONLY use the official links provided in our step-by-step guide.
• The cost of the visa will be provided in pesos on the website and charged at your bank’s exchange rate.
• Should you experience website issues, we recommend only attempting the process twice and then trying again the next day and with a different browser.

Process your visa in person at the border. Please consider the following:

• Have your valid passport handy and $44 cash to process the visa form.
• Rancho La Puerta employees are not permitted to be involved with the visa process. Please allow for additional time at immigration to complete your visa. This is currently averaging 30 to 60 minutes.
• Guests are permitted to enter the immigration office a few at a time to fill out the form. You will then be instructed to go to the bank next door to pay for the form. Then, return to the line to immigration to receive your stamped and approved FMM and passport.
• Please remember that we are not permitted to allow guests to cross the international border without their stamped and approved FMM form.
