The Positive Power of Respect and Trust: how they play quiet, yet pivotal roles in all our best relationships by Gregg Ward

If you look back on your life, it’s entirely likely that the relationships that offered the most satisfaction and joy were ones in which the levels of respect and trust were very high. Gregg’s sessions help us learn about the ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience of respect and trust, and the key practices that genuinely respectful and trusting human beings engage in, and how they powerfully influence the depth, connectedness, health, and longevity of our lives and relationships. Each session explores the foundational definitions, conditions and unique aspects and skills of respectful and trusting relationships while referencing key ideas found in the other sessions. Attend them all for the deepest learning or just one or two and to gain valuable insights, knowledge, and skills.

Session 1: The Joy Within Respect and Trust – explore the ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience of respect and trust, learn about how they bring joy, health, and fulfillment to our lives, and understand the roles they play in every successful relationship.

Session 2: Respect The Past / Re-Imagine Your Future – too often we see our past through the lens of trials and errors, sometimes harboring quiet regrets that can cause disconnection and unease in our lives. But it’s also possible to learn to respect (which in Latin means, “to re-examine”) our mistakes thoughtfully and maturely and to re-imagine them as key learning opportunities on which to build new ways of being and connecting deeply with the important people in our lives.

Session 3: Watering the Right Seeds – If you’ve ever met someone who makes you feel incredibly valued and trusted, even though you barely know each other, it’s more than likely that they have created an Actively Respectful Culture (ARC) or “respectful way of being” for themselves that is always “on” with everyone they meet. Learn how to “water the right seeds” and create an ARC around yourself that brings you connection with amazing people, and joy, satisfaction, and peace as you move forward through your life.

Session 4: The Respect Effect – learn how the most successful, happy and self-fulfilled people – regardless of status or role – are often the most respectful. Learn the seven habits of highly respectful people and how they powerfully generate connectedness, collaboration, engagement and resilience in everyone they encounter.
