Walk Strong: The Power of Walking for Heart, Brain & Longevity with Conni Ramsey
Week of June 5, 2027
Conni’s six-day walking program, Sunday through Friday, will build progressively from one day to the next. Each session will combine a brief lecture and practical information with at least 35 minutes of walking, allowing participants to immediately apply the techniques they learn.
The program will explore the key principles of frequency, duration, and intensity (FDI) and the mechanics behind efficient walking, including gait, posture, breathing, movement, and how the body responds to ground forces. Participants will learn how to safely increase heart rate and intensity while exploring the powerful connections between walking, cardiovascular health, brain health, mobility, and longevity.
Additional classes:
Posture for the Walk
A focused session exploring posture, alignment, balance, and the relationship between efficient posture and walking mechanics.
Train to Walk
A movement-based class featuring exercises specifically designed to support stronger, more efficient walking, with an emphasis on mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.
