Gyll Turteltaub, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist in Oakland, CA. She works for Kaiser Permanente as The Permanente Medical Group Regional Director of Employee Engagement and Resiliency. Gyll works with regional and medical center leaders to help foster a culture of engagement and resiliency for all staff and physicians in support of enhancing joy and meaning in work. Prior to taking on this role, Gyll worked as a manager and consultant for Kaiser Permanente’s Employee and Physician Assistance Program, providing counseling for physicians, nurses and medical staff, consultation for managers, coaching on effective leadership, workgroup assessments, critical incident stress de-briefings, presentations and organizational trainings. Additionally, Gyll maintains a private practice, providing psychotherapy for individuals and couples. Her areas of specialty include compassion fatigue, burnout, improving mindful living and work/life balance and treating anxiety and depression. Gyll has presented workshops internationally on a variety of topics including mindfulness, resiliency, communication effectiveness, burnout, and emotional intelligence.
