When we checked into our first session a bag of tools was there with everything in it. We used each item on a schedule and Dr. Finkelstein explained how to use them and when.
The first set of juices were presented in a cermeony. Everyday we lit a candle representing the number of days of the fast.
We swished olive oil around our mouths. It left my teeth squeaky clean and whiter.
You lose a lot of minerals during the detox so we added Himalayan salt to all our beverages for a mineral replacement.
The enemas and colonic are a big part of detox process and resetting the body. Dr Finkelstein taught us the proper methods.
Tools for our morning routine. We had enzymes we added to drinks, a tongue scraping tool, salt and cayenne, and coffee to add to the enema to flush our system.

Listening to Peter Yarrow play and sing with Mimi Fox was like sound healing for the soul. Music is a huge part of the healing process and having these two world class musicians play for us was like magic.
Our cup runneth over from the quality of the event. Everything was excellent when it came to quality. We drank tea everyday and as much as we wanted.

Throughout the detox program your encouraged to relax and let the detox happen. "It's more of a slow," Dr Finkelstein told us, " than a fast."
Each juice was five pounds of vegetables. It was amazingly healthy and we had them four times a day.

Singer and songwriter Peter Yarrow took a break from practicing to be with us. He was incredibly sweet and brought a lot of love to the group.
All the women got together and we did a mud detox bath. The men went to a seperate spa for theirs. We layed in the sun and just felt the sun warm us and the clay.
Each person had their own detoxing blend of clay. This became an incredibly bonding experience and was really nurturing.
We created prayer arrows that were really meaningful. Each artistic exercise was a meditation.
We used feathers to give symbolic flight to our prayers and let them travel out into the world.
Taking the time to create friendships was a natural part of the program.
We wrote a prayer for our life on paper then wrapped it in yarn to make a prayer arrow. It was great to have the wisdomn of Ranch instrucotr Phyllis Pilgrim with us.
We had a letting go ceremony. We wrote what we wanted to release onto paper then burned it. It was a powerful emotional detox and another step in getting rid of things in our lives that don't serve us.
There was a gift in our room they left during turn down service. At the end of the day I felt cared for.
When we broke the fast it was right as the dinner bell rang. Dr. Finkelstein applauded us for doing an amazing job. It was a really joyful and celebratory feast of farm fresh fruits and vegetables.
A simple and fresh salad never tasted so good.
It really came down to giving ourselves this humongous gift of a clear heart, mind, and body. Having this experience I created a baseline for what feeling clean is like. I left with joyous amounts of energy and a feeling of community.
