Acupuncturist Dr. Wiri Andrade, L.Ac
Coming from a lineage of Brazilian healers, Dr. Wiri Andrade, L.Ac., incorporates South American native healing practices with traditional Chinese medicine. Dr. Andrade is committed to using acupuncture to restore the “energy flow” or “life force” for pain relief associated with various conditions. He earned his Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, CA, where he currently resides. He will provide acupuncture treatments at The Ranch that assist in the vibrational environment for self-healing to support necessary changes in people’s lives.
Where are you from?
I’m from Santa Cruz, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, in the northeast of Brazil, coming from a lineage of Brazilian healers.
Of the healing modalities, how did you begin practicing acupuncture?
I was exposed to acupuncture during my education in the healing arts. Over time, I discovered that it complemented my native Brazilian healing method, which mainly involves using specific plants for cleansing, circulating, and balancing people’s energy fields.
Where did you train?
I earned my Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, CA. Before studying acupuncture, I earned a PhD in Forestry Resources. I worked as a manager of research and development in plant propagation.
What type of acupuncture do you practice at The Ranch?
I practice Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and an intuitive form of treatment.
How does acupuncture fit into a guest Wellness Week at The Ranch?
While acupuncture can certainly treat pain, it can foster a sense of wellbeing, balance, and tranquility. This helps amplify the natural healing process of the guests. Guests can receive treatment daily as needed or desired.
