Erin E. Raskin, DACM, L.Ac.

Dr. Raskin has been with The Center for Integrative Medicine since 2014 setting up the Integrative Medicine services of acupuncture and massage for the inpatient setting of UCSDH hospitals. She delivers inpatient acupuncture weekly and piloted acupuncture in the Emergency Department. Erin orchestrated The MedSerenity Channel is available on all inpatient televisions providing relaxing music and nature images around the clock. Dr. Raskin also has an appointment as a clinician at UCSD Student Health Services.
In addition, Erin’s eco-friendly office is in San Diego where she is and has been in private practice since 1992. She joined the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine faculty in 1995 and was a clinical supervisor at San Diego Hospice and the Institute for Palliative Medicine, Seniors Clinic and Veterans Clinic. Erin piloted acupuncture for pain management at Kaiser Permanente. For decades she has been a health and wellness educator to her patients, students and the public on various topics; a host for the Death Café and during Covid led many Self Care with Self Massage workshops. Erin has been involved in various aspects of meditation, yoga, nutrition, Ayurveda and Traditional East Asian Medicine (TEAM) for over 40 years. In 1988, Erin was certified as a Hatha Yoga teacher and enrolled in the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco. She studied in China, India & America, apprenticed with Dr. Richard Teh-Fu Tan for 10 years and is a lifelong student of ancient Eastern healing arts and modern science, blending wisdom from different healing traditions. Erin cultivates her own Qi with many self-care activities including yoga, meditation, cooking, ceramics, singing, art, reading, solitude, nature, walking, time with hubby, family and friends.
