Barry will lead meditation classes.
Dr. Barry Kerzin is medical doctor, Buddhist monk, Adjunct Professor at the Univ. of Pittsburgh, Adjunct Prof. at Hong Kong Univ., and Honorary Prof. at the Mongolian National Univ. of Medical Sciences. He lives in Dharamsala, India and is the Founder and CEO of Altruism in Medicine Institute (AIMI) in the US, and Founder and Chairman of the Human Values Institute (HVI) in Japan. With AIMI in 2022 he has created a Compassion Mindfulness App – AIMIcare, for burnout prevention. For 34 years he has been providing free medical care to the poor up to high lamas including HH the Dalai Lama. Barry has completed a 3-year meditation retreat. His brain has been studied at Princeton University and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has delivered numerous Medical Grand Rounds on Compassion and Meditation. In Spring 2024 he will deliver a Compassion Grand Rounds at Harvard medical school. He has given 4 TEDx talks, and authored four books.
