Where are you from?

I’m from Santa Cruz, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, in the northeast of Brazil, coming from a lineage of Brazilian healers.

Of the healing modalities, how did you begin practicing acupuncture?

I was exposed to acupuncture during my education in the healing arts. Over time, I discovered that it complemented my native Brazilian healing method, which mainly involves using specific plants for cleansing, circulating, and balancing people’s energy fields.

Where did you train?

I earned my Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, CA. Before studying acupuncture, I earned a PhD in Forestry Resources. I worked as a manager of research and development in plant propagation.

What type of acupuncture do you practice at The Ranch?

I practice Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and an intuitive form of treatment.

How does acupuncture fit into a guest Wellness Week at The Ranch?

While acupuncture can certainly treat pain, it can foster a sense of wellbeing, balance, and tranquility. This helps amplify the natural healing process of the guests. Guests can receive treatment daily as needed or desired.
