Jennifer has been teaching, painting and exhibiting at Rancho La Puerta as Resident Artist since 2004. Her art shimmers with the vibrant colors of Mexico; her landscapes capture the serenity of the Ranch’s tranquil paths and gardens. In collaboration with Tres Estrellas and La Cocina Que Canta, Jennifer’s “Farm to Table to Easel” Still Life series celebrates the fresh ingredients of the weekly culinary school feast; these paintings are created in real time in the dining room, while visiting chef and guests are preparing the evening meal.

“Each painting emerges from a moving meditation, an ever-deepening process of looking and waiting and looking again. Painting is an invitation to fall into an ecstatic state of intimacy with the world, to be fully present; all of my work is born in that place of gratitude and wonder and love for all creation.”
