Dr. Sabrina Falquier has spent the last 8 years pivoting her career. She transitioned from a primary care doctor for 16 years to a board certified Culinary Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine physician. She dedicates her time fully to empower incredibly varied audiences internationally to know the power of food for individuals and communities. She invites you to join her and gift yourself time away to slow down and be…fully yourself.

The week includes an eight day, seven night stay at the Rancho La Puerta wellness resort and spa, hands-on cooking experiences at La Cocina Que Canta with Dr. Falquier which includes a tour and experience of the organic garden, cooking and eating in community all while slowing down and waking up all your senses of being in the moment and enjoying all that your food and your presence have to offer.

This is a rare opportunity for you to be immersed, not only in the kitchen, yet also the serene space that is Rancho La Puerta. This is the first time Dr. Falquier is brining together a group to experience this together.

About Your Host
To know Dr. Falquier a bit more…For starters, she loves delicious food! She is a board certified Internal Medicine, Culinary Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine physician. Since 2016 she has been fully immersed in the Culinary Medicine world – which is the blending of evidence-based nutritional information meeting the culinary arts to help people meet their unique health goals. Her company Sensations Salud, focuses on awakening the senses around all aspects related to food – from ingredient acquisition to food preparation and eating fully present. All from a lens of meeting each person where they are in their health journey and in their relationship to all aspects of food – from food preferences, relationship to food and cooking, spice love, cultural upbringing. Food and meals are an incredibly individual and personal journey and Dr. Falquier has a keen ability to help you listen to your inner self and create spaces to add seeds that grow in the fully unique way they are meant to – for you.

Rate is per person and includes roundtrip transportation from San Diego Airport, lodging, meals (including accommodations for dietary restrictions or preferences), snacks. hikes, classes, concerts and $150 resort credit.

Location:
Rancho La Puerta is located in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico, 3.5 miles south of the U.S. Mexico border. Guests must have a valid U.S. passport.

Transportation:
Complimentary roundtrip transportation is provided between San Diego Airport & Rancho La Puerta.

The rates are per person and include all taxes, roundtrip transportation from San Diego Airport, hikes, classes, concerts, presentations, snacks & meals AND include a $150 resort credit.

Junior Villa

A casita featuring a large sitting area with a fireplace, an alcove with bed(s) – two double or one king – and a large private patio.

JUNIOR VILLA SINGLE $6646/$3986 per person

Villa Studio

A large studio featuring a living area, fireplace and writing desk along with private outdoor patio capable of accommodating up to three guests.

VILLA STUDIO DOUBLE $5999/$3622 per person
VILLA STUDIO TRIPLE $4940/$3017 per person

Villa Suite

These feature two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as a living room, wet bar, dining area and fireplace. These are our most spacious villas, and are truly comparable to a small vacation home. They comfortably welcome up to four people.

A $500 deposit per person is due at time of booking to guarantee registration. Full balance is due within 60 days of registration or within 60 days of start of Retreat, whichever comes first.

Spend a week at Rancho La Puerta, one of the world’s top destination spas—set on thousands of acres of wildlands and landscaped gardens in sunshiny Baja California. Customize an ideal routine to energize your body, calm your mind and lift your spirits. You’ll enjoy:

  • Guided hikes on 40 miles of mountain trails.
  • More than 50 daily fitness classes, including Pilates, Barre, TRX, circuit training, Hydro-Fit, yoga and Zumba.
  • Three farm-to-table meals, sourced from our organic garden and other local farms.
  • Eleven gyms, four pools, a running track, as well as tennis, Pickleball, basketball and volleyball courts.
  • Three full-service spas offering massage, facials, wraps, scrubs and other holistic therapies.
  • Meditation, Feldenkrais, sound healing and other mind-body activities.

Arriving at Rancho La Puerta

Please note: If you are arriving in San Diego on Friday and returning to the airport to catch one of our buses on Saturday, please choose Terminal 1.

Please find our Ranch representative waiting inside of the terminal directly in front of the Pacifica Breeze Café near baggage claim #4.

Our buses depart promptly at the time noted and cannot be held for those who arrive late.

PLEASE NOTE: Please call us at 858-925-1214 when you reach Campo Road/94 so we can meet you at the TC Worthy mini-mart on the U.S. side of the border. Parking in this lot is $5-$10/day and can be paid inside the mini-mart.

PLEASE NOTE: We recommend Mexican Auto Insurance when driving in Mexico. Please discuss this with your current insurance provider, as you may have coverage for a short distance across the border (we're only 3.3 miles in). Another option would be AAA or, just before you cross the border, there is a place that provides insurance, though it might be ideal to arrange for insurance in advance. In addition, you will need to be sure to take care of your visa ($30 in small bills) as you cross. If you prefer, you can drive directly to the Ranch and we will take you back to the border to help with this process.

From Rancho La Puerta...

Please allow 3 hours for transportation time to the airport plus additional time for checking in at the airport.

Please have your luggage ready and waiting inside of your room at 5 am. A porter will come around to each room to collect the luggage, and have it waiting for you to claim just outside of the Admin building as you board the bus.

You are welcome to stay for lunch, take advantage of a class or two, have a massage, or just relax. You can use the showers in the Health Center to change for your trip home.
