An Evening with Linda Wertheimer

Linda Wertheimer is a card carrying “Founding Mother” of NPR who has covered Congress and political campaigns going back to the seventies.  She anchored NPR’s evening news program, All Things Considered for a dozen years, as well as election nights and political conventions.   She was in the room when the House Judiciary Committee voted to impeach President Richard Nixon and she will talk a bit about that and about how it compares to what is happening now.  This is a polarized time in the US, she says, but there are some interesting and possibly hopeful signs for the country, one of which is the unusually large number of women who were elected to Congress in November.
