Art Projects

Lena Rivkin offers three art projects that are fun and provide the opportunity to learn different art techniques.

Each project does not require previous art training.

Creative Expansions—ART STUDIO (2 hours)
Guests will select an influential artist from a postcard and expand the image with oil pastels in the style of the artist.

Henri Matisse Collages—ART STUDIO (1 hour)
Guests will learn about the trailblazing paper cut-outs of Henri Matisse. They will create their own original collage.

Georgia O’Keeffe Flowers—ART STUDIO (1 hour)
Inspired by the artist Georgia O’Keeffe for her large scale flower paintings, guests will create a flower with chalk pastels.

 

Lena Rivkin, MFA, has served on the art faculty of Mount St. Mary’s College, the University of Phoenix, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.  She is a nationally exhibited artist.
