Hands-On Cooking Classes and Freedom Feast with Robert Sulatycky

Robert offers hands-on culinary experiences, 3.5 hours each, during which you will enjoy preparing your own meal along with fellow cooks. Classes take place at La Cocina Que Canta, our culinary center on Tuesday and Wednesday, at 4pm. In addition, Chef Robert will collaborate with La Cocina Que Canta’s Executive Chef Reyna Venegas and her team to create a special feast (with wine pairing!) on Thursday at 4:45pm.

Celebrate the abundance of our organic farm and the connection to community with a Farm-to-Table dining experience – a perfect blend of health, tradition, flavor, and fun! Robert Sulatycky has a long history with the Bocuse d’Or. Representing Canada in 1999, he placed fourth and was awarded the “Prix Viande” or best meat prize. He has since mentored both Canadian and American chef candidates and was honored to be a member of the international jury for the 2007 and 2013 edition of the competition. He was instrumental as culinary advisor for Team USA in 2015 taking silver and 2017 taking the gold. He was appointed head coach for Team USA by Chefs Thomas Keller & Daniel Boulud for the 2019 & 2023 Bocuse d’Or.

His culinary career has taken him to the helms of the kitchens of Four Seasons Hotels in Toronto and Chicago. This was then followed by simultaneously leading the brigades at the Beverly Hills and Hotel Bel Air where he had the pleasure of cooking for Hollywood stars. Chef Sulatycky once again worked for Four Seasons, developing a restaurant and dining concepts for the new Four Seasons Private Residences in Los Angeles California, opening in 2020.

2021 saw Chef Sulatycky at The Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, CA, taking the helm of the lauded Madera Restaurant. Reaching the pinnacle of the culinary world, Sulatycky was awarded one Michelin star by the venerable French dining guide.

Chef Sulatycky’s passion for wine has also taken him to Napa, CA where he is the managing partner of Mithra Winery. A small production, boutique winery located on Mount Veeder. Mithra has a reputation of producing exceptional cabernet sauvignons.

Chef Sulatycky is a co-founder of iQKitchen Inc., a technology company that has developed simple and intuitive app based solutions to many of the basic challenges that chefs face in the kitchen.
