Iyengar Yoga Week

Join Kim in a week long exploration of Iyengar Yoga. Iyengar Yoga is a method that is approachable and accessible to all levels of student. It is is a complete system that focuses on the practice of asana (postures) and pranayama (breath) with the ultimate aim of cultivating health, awareness, and inner peace, physically, mentally, and spiritually. In particular the Iyengar approach to yoga is often described as one that focuses on alignment, timing and sequencing, and the use of props. It is also well known for many therapeutic applications and offers variations for those with limitations or injury.
Kim has been teaching for 18 years and is a Certified Iyengar Yoga instructor. She has studied extensively with senior level teachers in the US, and has traveled to India numerous times to study with the Iyengar Family. Her experience as a student of yoga has lead to a continual deepening and living of an explorative, healing, and joyfully observant life. As an instructor she works comfortably with a broad spectrum of students such as teens, young athletes, pregnant women, families, baby boomers, and those with special needs. Kim is also a licensed massage therapist with an education and practice that blends western, eastern, and shamanic protocols and perspective.
During the week at the Ranch, Kim will teach daily 75 minute Yoga classes. These classes are active and yet suitable for all levels. In addition there will be three 45 minute restorative classes during the week that will focus on a postures that help soothe the body, quieten the mind, and welcome relationship with the truth and beauty that is within, and all around us. This will be Kim’s 2nd time teaching at the Ranch and she looks forward to seeing you in class.
