Journeying with the Mandala with Joy Khoo

Week of October 24, 2026

Journeying with the Mandala.

Embark on a journey into the magic and symbolism of mandalas—sacred circles found in cultures and traditions around the world. Discover the beauty and power of the mandala, hear inspiring real-life stories connected to these timeless symbols, and learn how they can serve as tools for reflection, creativity, and personal growth.  Inspired by the week’s exploration of conscious dying, you’ll create mandalas as an act of honoring your life, your legacy, your relationships and what matters most.

Mandala Journey: Mapping the Self through Time

In this opening workshop, you’ll explore mandala-making as a sacred practice for reflection, creativity, and presence. Through guided meditation and journaling, you’ll create a mandala that honors the cycles of your own life—past experiences, present insights, and future intentions. Trust the process and allow your creativity to flow as you map the story of your life in form and color.

Mandala Journey: Circles of Connection

This session invites you into a shared creative experience centered on connection—with yourself, with others, and with the threads of memory — the living and the departed — that shape who you are.  Through guided visualization, journaling, and collaborative mandala-making, you’ll explore how relationships and shared experiences nurture your sense of belonging. Partner with another participant to co-create art that reflects curiosity, support, and the enduring bonds that leave their imprint on your journey.

Mandala Journey: Returning to the Earth

In this final workshop of the week, you’ll journey with the mandala through meditation, creative expression and nature connection. Drawing inspiration from the rhythms and wisdom of the natural world, through mandala drawing and the intuitive process of SoulCollage®, you’ll give shape to what has moved through you.  With moments of solo reflection and shared witnessing, this closing circle offers space to integrate your experience, honor endings, and carry forward the lessons that emerge to celebrate this precious life.
