Zen Bon Jacques-Pierre is a Buddhist monk, Qigong instructor, speaker, and author of Seven Attempts, 17,000 Thoughts, available on Amazon. His life’s journey has been one of deep transformation ~ shaped by adversity, service, and self-discovery.
Diagnosed with bipolar disorder at an early age, Jacques-Pierre struggled for years, even attempting to take his life multiple times. Seeking purpose, he served in the Navy, National Guard Army, and later becoming a police officer. These experiences exposed him to the depths of human suffering, conflict, and resilience, lessons that now guide his work with others.
His path to inner peace led him to train under a Zen Buddhist monk for 12-years, before becoming ordained. He now teaches others to cultivate mindfulness, regulate emotions, and embrace self-discovery. He specializes in trauma-informed communication and conflict resolution, helping individuals and organizations navigate challenges with compassion and understanding.
From teaching Qigong and drawing mandalas in the sand to longboarding in his robes, Jacques-Pierre embodies the philosophy that life is an ongoing journey of curiosity and growth.
