Jessica Meyrowitz – knitter, designer and founder of It’s a…Yummy – was taught to knit by her yoga teacher.  The yoga instructor was giving a class on the basics of knitting – while emphasizing the meditative qualities and mindfulness that knitting provides.  Jessica enjoyed the process of knitting as well as the products that she was making with her newly acquired knitting skills.  One day, during an internet search – looking for knitting ideas – Jessica came across the idea of extreme knitting and was hooked.  Extreme knitting is knitting that is done with large needles and oversized yarn.  Jessica began creating throws for family and friends – using larger needles and her Yummy oversized, 100% merino wool yarn.  The response to her blankets was so positive that she decided to turn her passion in a business and started It’s a…Yummy.  It’s a…Yummy is a provider of the luxurious Yummy yarn, Yummy hand-knit products and Yummy knitting kits.  Jessica believes beauty is in the details.  The quality of the wool, the size and color of the yarn, and the weave of the knit contribute to the uniqueness of all It’s a…Yummy creations.
