Chef Reyna Venegas prepares fresh and delicious food that energizes, inspires, and nourishes guests. She fuses the culinary and cultural heritages of her own Northern Baja roots with the nutritious “spa cuisine” pioneered 80 years ago by Rancho La Puerta co-founder Deborah Szekely. At La Cocina Que Canta, “The Kitchen That Sings,” Chef Reyna teaches healthy eating as a celebration of life in farm-to-table cooking classes.
As a lifelong learner, Chef Reyna graduated from the University of California, San Diego’s Integrative Nutrition program, which focuses on how food promotes wellness. She is also a graduate of the Culinary Art School in Tijuana, and holds a Pastry Degree from the Lycée Technique et Hôtelier de Monte-Carlo and Fondation Turquois.
Manuel Velázquez is an international fitness continuing education provider and presenter for over two decades. His versatility and multifaceted functional approach leading land, aquatic and mind/body fitness programs has won him recognition as a Presenter of the Year and All Around International Presenter of the Year presenting at fitness conferences worldwide. He is a proud Faculty Member for SCW Fitness Education and Creator Designer & National Trainer for their signature WATERinMOTION®Platinum Instructor program. Manuel is a continuing education faculty member for SCW, ACE, AFAA, ACSM, AEA and stars in over 50 Fitness Instructor Training Videos. Former Lead Instructor at Puerto Rico’s exclusive Golden Door Spa, now is a dynamic instructor at Rancho La Puerta Resort & Spa in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico (outside of San Diego).
