Week of October 9, 2021
The Case for Fierce Optimism
Based on her popular TEDx Talk, Dianne will explore the power of optimism to strengthen individuals and communities. This interactive dialogue will address how optimism improves your health and quality of life and fuels broader movements for positive transformation. Against all odds, Dianne will inspire you to stand firm with your optimism – because it’s good for you and even better for us!
Grateful Heart, Generous Spirit
Cultivating Your Gratitude
We will explore tools you can use to cultivate gratitude throughout your week at the Ranch and when you return home. A key focus will be claiming and celebrating your many personal gifts including passion, acumen, creativity, wisdom, capital, kindness and others unique to you. These gifts will inspire and anchor your giving plan.
Discerning Your Goals, Vision and Mission
To begin, we will ask questions to clarify your legacy goals. With these goals as your True North, you will discern the vision and mission for your giving as informed by your personal values and grounded in community needs.
Designing Your Giving Plan
Together we will design a short, medium and long term plan for your giving to include time, talent, treasure and testimony. In this session, we also will consider additional strategies to achieve social change including impact investing and conscious consumerism.
Releasing Your Generosity
We will examine strategies to source, vet and make charitable contributions for maximum impact. We also will explore how to avoid burnout as a volunteer and embrace funder collaborations to accelerate change including giving circles. You will be ready to return home equipped, empowered and inspired to release your generosity!
