The Happiness Reset: Secrets To Embracing More Happiness Now with Jeanine Mancusi

Week of July 18, 2026

The Urgency of Happiness in Uncertain Times
We are living in a world marked by crisis. Many of us are impacted by the many global crises and personal stresses that seem to multiply daily. In such a climate, happiness can feel like a luxury, something to postpone until “things settle down.” Yet it is precisely in these uncertain times that generating happiness becomes essential. Choosing joy, even in the midst of turmoil, strengthens our resilience, sharpens our creativity, and provides the emotional fuel we need to meet challenges with courage rather than despair.

Day one:  Redefining Happiness as Inner Strength
Happiness is often mistaken for fleeting pleasure or the absence of problems. But in truth, happiness is an inner resource—a cultivated way of being that allows us to experience peace, connection, and gratitude no matter what is happening around us. When the external world feels unpredictable, happiness becomes a form of inner stability. It grounds us in hope and possibility, creating a foundation from which we can act with clarity and compassion in our personal lives and in the broader world.

Day two: Responding to Your Desires
When you listen to and respond to your true desires, you create a sense of alignment between who you are inside and how you live your life. Even small acts of honoring what you want—whether it’s choosing rest, pursuing a passion, or speaking your truth—reinforce that your needs and feelings matter. This builds self-trust, cultivates joy, and allows happiness to flow more naturally, because you are living in a way that feels authentic and fulfilling.

Day Three: Releasing Patterns of the Past
Letting go of old patterns frees up the energy we once used to hold onto them, creating space for more joy and ease in the present. When we stop repeating outdated habits or stories, we no longer stay stuck in the same cycles of frustration or disappointment. Instead, we open ourselves to new possibilities, healthier connections, and a greater sense of freedom. Releasing the past allows happiness to flow more naturally, because we’re no longer weighed down by what no longer serves us.

Day Four: The Satisfaction of a Job Well Done And a Life Well Lived.
We all accomplish and achieve, but how often do we pause to truly relax into that success and feel the happiness it brings? Too often, we move quickly to the next goal, missing the chance to savor the joy of what we’ve already created. When we allow ourselves to slow down and celebrate our achievements, happiness deepens and becomes less about striving and more about living fully in the moment.

Day Five: The Ultimate in Happiness: Creating a space in which it is safe to love and safe for love to grow.
Creating a space where it is safe to love and safe for love to grow naturally nurtures happiness, because love and happiness are deeply intertwined. At our core, we all long for happiness, and beneath that longing is the essential human need to give and receive love. When we feel secure enough to express love freely—without fear of judgment or rejection—we experience a deeper, more lasting form of happiness. Love becomes the soil in which joy takes root, reminding us that true happiness is not only about what we achieve, but about how openly we connect and care.
