Wisdom Keeper Week: SoulCollage ® and the Art of Intuition

What deeper story is emerging within you, wanting to find expression? SoulCollage® is a creative, intuitive collage process, a powerful way to embark on this soulful exploration. Through creative inquiry and collage we will journey into the heart of our gifts, passions and purpose to discover what truly brings us alive. We will create cards by gathering images that speak to us. Some we select recognizing immediately how they relate to our lives, while others we have no idea why we chose them- or why they seemed to choose us. Filled with deep personal meaning, our cards offer a visual narrative of our own unique life story. They access our inner wisdom and give voice to the many facets of ourselves- our personality, relationships, dreams, and challenges that want to be revealed. In a supportive, playful and collaborative environment, we’ll step deeper into our cards to see how they relate to our inner and outer worlds. This workshop is open to everyone, no art experience is necessary!
Jennie Oppenheimer is an artist, educator and leader of mixed media and SoulCollage® workshops. As the founder of SOULIO, an organization that delivers fun, artful workshops to help people discover their authentic voice and take the risks necessary for growth, Jennie uses creativity as a teaching tool for soulful investigation and self-expression. After receiving degrees from UC Santa Barbara and Art Center College of Design, Jennie enjoyed a career as a freelance Illustrator, working for such clients as Houghton Mifflin, Chronicle Books, American Express, Time Warner and the NY Times. She went on to study with such luminaries as Angeles Arrien, David Whyte, Michael Meade, and Jean Houston. Jennie has completed extensive coursework in psychology, training in Experiential Art Therapy and SoulCollage facilitation. Jennie leads strategic vision retreats for organizations and wellness centers, and offers coaching to private clients. She has worked with bestselling authors Marci Shimoff (Happy for No Reason) and Isabel Allende, (House of the Spirits, et al.). Jennie teaches workshops in her Northern California studio, at Esalen Institute, in Mallorca, Spain, England, and Bali. Proficiency in art is not the goal of her work; rather it is the experiential process, using artful activities in a supportive, playful and non-judgmental way that guide us toward deeper insight, discovering our voice, and trusting our intuition.
