Whipped yogurt is a wonderful addition to almost any dessert, especially during the holidays where desserts seem to be waiting at every occasion. This delightful recipe is from the journalist, cookbook author, and visiting chef Kim O’Donnel. We enjoyed it on quinoa brownies, a bowl of fruit, and especially on this Ranch holiday treat pumpkin tart with praline crumble.
Makes a heaping 2 cups
2 cups full-fat or 2% plain Greek or strained yogurt
½ cup honey or good-quality maple syrup
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Place the yogurt in a medium-size bowl, and whisk vigorously. The yogurt will loosen and whip quite readily. Stir in your preferred sweetener and vanilla extract until well blended. Taste and add more as needed. Serve at room temperature.
