Berry Cardamom Fizz Mocktail 

This refreshing and aromatic blend of berries, citrus, and cardamom, topped with sparkling water, delivers the perfect fizz for your holiday celebrations. So, muster your courage, throw on that ugly holiday sweater, and join the fun! This mocktail recipe from our dining hall is easy to make and filled with festive flavors, perfect for adding a joyful twist to any holiday celebration. 

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound of organic mixed berries (or the berries of your preference)  
  • ½ cup of brown sugar   
  •  8-10 cardamom seeds   
  • ½ cup of lemon juice   
  • Sparkling water   

Method 

  1. Prepare the Berry Mixture: In a medium pot, combine the berries, brown sugar, and cardamom seeds. Cook over low heat for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens to a jam-like consistency. 
  2. Cool and Add Lemon Juice: Remove the mixture from heat and allow it to cool completely. Once cooled, stir in the lemon juice until well mixed. 
  3. Assemble the Mocktail: In a 16 oz glass, add a scoop (about 4 oz) of the berry mixture. Fill the glass halfway with ice and top it off with sparkling water. Stir gently. 
  4. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a wedge of lemon or grapefruit, a sprig of rosemary, basil leaves, or any fruit or herb you choose. 
  5. Enjoy: Sip, savor, and celebrate with this festive and refreshing drink!
