Ahhh, the cool, crisp freshness and healthy benefits of juicing at Tierra Alegre, The Ranch’s juice bar. After a morning hike, an afternoon cardio workout or yoga, I always make my way to these colorful drinks with their perfect blend of vegetables and fruits. The juices and smoothies are a few of my favorite things that compliment an active day.
Tierra Alegre’s menu has been updated and refreshed for the fall. Rancho La Puerta Executive Chef, Denise Roa and Holistic Nutritionist Torie Borrelli created the delicious and nutritious smoothies and juices based on The Ranch’s food and health philosophy. “Each ingredient is chosen based on the season,” explains Torie, “and will provide the best health benefits you can get from juicing. All juices and smoothies are made to order, cold-pressed, non-GMO and organic.” Torie recommends smoothies after a hard workout, for a meal replacement or as an additional snack. “Juices,” she elaborates, “can help with detoxification, digestive health, or as a way to add more greens to your diet (not like you need that at The Ranch).”
