Primavera en el Parque del Profesor: A Season of Connection and Care
For five weeks each spring, something extraordinary takes root in Tecate. Primavera en el Parque del Profesor, a free community initiative organized by FundaciĂłn La Puerta A.C., transforms the park into a vibrant space of healing, learning, and reconnection with nature, one another, and ourselves.
More than just a calendar of events, Primavera is an invitation. Children, adults, and families gather beneath the trees to move, create, breathe, and grow together. This year, 17 volunteer instructors generously shared their time and knowledge across 21 distinct activities. In total, 44 sessions were held, bringing together 620 participants—an average of 14 people per session and 9 activities per week. From tree meditation and yoga to sound healing, botanical art, and first aid training, each session opened the door to deeper presence, new knowledge, and a meaningful community.
A Community in Harmony
At the heart of Primavera is a belief that shared knowledge is transformative, and when a community gathers in kindness, powerful things happen. Whether planting a seed, practicing breathwork, or learning to care for the body, participants tap into a collective rhythm of respect, connection, and harmony with the natural world.

Who Is the Program For?
It’s for everyone! Primavera is open to all ages and backgrounds and is designed to be inclusive, diverse, and completely free. Children, adults, families, and groups all find a place in the circle. No experience required.Â

A Season That Lasts All Year
Primavera en el Parque del Profesor is more than a springtime tradition. It’s a living expression of what’s possible when community, nature, and generosity come together.
The park remains a welcoming space for wellness, learning, and joy, with sessions that ebb and flow like nature itself. This isn’t just a seasonal event. It’s a year-round practice of presence, generosity, and community care.
We grow new roots each year, and with each season, our shared canopy of care and connection continues to flourish.
