The ‘Inner Fitness’ program is designed for accelerated transformation and awakening from the “inside-out”. It is both a reflective and practical program that presents many mental models and practices for those seeking to navigate life with greater ease and joy! Session 1: What Story are You Telling
We are story tellers who are continually authoring a story out of which we experience our lives. Some stories have us reacting to the circumstances in our lives and feeling powerless to change them and other stories have us exerting tremendous energy and feeling determined and even defiant to overcome those same circumstances. Both narratives can leave us feeling powerless and/or exhausted. There is a more compelling narrative called ‘The Great Story’, a story in which we easily and delightfully express our passions and talents and having full access to our agency, we consciously choose how to respond to life’s circumstances, feeling empowered and purposeful.

Session 2: Healthy Inner Dialogue
Do you ever wonder who is doing all the chattering in your mind and how this litany of voices is for better or worse, directing your life? When we can recognize and distinguish between our life-affirming versus our life-diminishing voices and develop the habit of deeply listening to our wisest self, we are able to more effectively respond to the challenges and circumstances in our lives and create an exciting vision for living our best lives.

Session 3: Emotional Fluency
So often, we shove our emotions aside or stuff them deep inside because we have not been encouraged to experience them and/or learned how to effectively communicate them. Yet, our emotions are a window into our truth and having access to a full range of our emotions is an essential part of living a deeply satisfying life. When we develop emotional fluency, we establish healthy boundaries, navigate our emotional world with ease, and bring greater energy and aliveness to the whole of our lives.

Session 4: The Joy of Responsibility
Responsibility is typically held as a burden of obligations and expectations that sits heavily upon our shoulders. But when we see responsibility as an opportunity to recognize and take full ownership for our impact on others by either forgiving ourselves for our unintended impact and/or celebrating our brilliance, a new and more empowering definition of responsibility emerges, one that generates the experience of freedom and joy.

Session 5: Embracing Your Value
Many of us have been taught by well intentioned adults and society at large to believe that we are not valuable and that we must demonstrate our value through our achievements and performance. Consider how this ongoing need to prove our value becomes the dominate underlying motivation that fuels our actions and informs our relationships. Alternatively, there is an inside game where we drop the persistent need to provide evidence of our value and instead, embrace and savour the experience of our inherent worth without apology.

Just as your remaining senses heighten when you lose one, intuition grows stronger when logic takes a step back. We all share these remarkable abilities; and emotions and bodily feeling are signals that reveal our inner states and information about the world around us. Learn to recognize when your intuition speaks.

I believe we each have special gifts that we are charged with bringing into the world.  These gifts are our “why”: why we were brought into this world, why we wake up in the morning and why the world needs these gifts.  So, what makes you special?   What are you good at doing?  What makes you proud?  What brings you joy?  We will explore our own individual purposes, by tapping into each era of our lives and noting what made us shine.  Rolling those special moments up, we will explore the themes that arise and make plans to bring our “why’s” into the world.

Change your thinking to get what you want and deserve.  So many times, we reach out to get what we want only to talk ourselves out of it later.  We stop ourselves because we fear standing out, or we believe our own negative self-talk.  We will explore this self-talk in a safe way, looking at how these ways of thinking served to keep us safe when we were younger. By re-writing the rules for a new era in your life you can begin to move confidently toward bringing your gifts into the world.

Callings are often thought of as an exceptional skill in certain areas, but can also mean exceptional passion, even in an area in which we have little to no skill.  We each have a seed of a calling in us. Have you ever heard someone talking, or read a book, or worked with a group of people, and inexplicably felt such an urgency to learn or help more? We will explore “callings” and the idea that we were made for something big, and we will work together to see how we can bring some of our callings into our lives.

So many times, we settle for less.  We decorate our homes to match someone else’s style, we work at boring jobs because they have good benefits, we socialize with people who don’t really “get” us, we eat food we don’t enjoy, and we spend time just pretending to care about things just because other people do.  In this class, I will take you on a group journey to discover your ideal day.  With no constraints, what would your ideal day include?  Would you wake up in Parisian pied-à-terre, or in a Brazilian tree-house?  Will you dress in flip-flops and a flowing skirt, or a tailored suit? Who is on the guest list for lunch? Maybe Oprah, Gandhi, extended family, or maybe just a quiet lunch with yourself? Get ready to play and dream big dreams! After our journey, we will note themes and explore ways to make these dreams into reality.

Bigger, Better, Braver is a five-step journey to find the answers, beginning with listening to the quiet voice inside the head that tells you, you want more for your life. Living big is truly its own reward. The “bigger” is your definition and yours alone, a declaration to the Universe you are worthy and ready to take advantage of the great life you’ve been given.

Each of the five lessons offers you tools and a deeper understanding of who you are and what has been standing in your way.

Session 1: Setting Healthy Boundaries – Say Yes to You
Are you a people pleaser and/or conflict avoider? Do you believe self-care is selfish? By avoiding setting healthy boundaries, you chose long-term unhappiness over short term discomfort. Boundaries are key to feeling more self-love, emotionally whole, and more at peace.

Session 2: Why Live Bigger?
We were all put on this earth to be all we can be. We enter this world ready to be anything and everything but little by little we shut parts of ourselves away, and as adults we continue to listen to the inner critic who no longer serves us. It is the voice that says: “play small to stay safe,” or “we aren’t good enough” or we need to “control everything to stay safe.”

I will help you uncover the disempowering belief and unconscious commitment that are keeping you from living the life of your dreams. You will form a new empowering belief to support you in living bigger, better and braver.

Session 3:  Stop the Cycle of Self-Sabotage
You will learn to modify your disempowering thoughts and behaviors and recognize the drivers and triggers that keep you staying small and undermine your efforts to move powerfully forward.

Session 4: Incompletions
When you get out of auto pilot and take an honest look at your life, you can discover what’s holding you back, weighing you down, and robbing you of your agility. We call these “incompletions.”

Incompletions are actions we haven’t taken in the past that create a barrier in the present. They are the stuff we’re still carrying with us we’ve not put to rest. Incompletions drain us, and/or we use them to beat ourselves up.

You’ll look at how incompletions show up in your life, externally and internally, and what you can do to turn them in to completions.

Session 5: The Essentials of Living Relationally
Living relationally means cultivating the daily practice of Full Respect Living with yourself and with others at the same time. As a coach with Terry Real and Relational Life Therapy, I will help you cultivate loving practices and healthy intimacy. Nothing is more important in our lives than our relationships. A great relationship will boost your immune system and keep your vibrant and engaged. I think this session is a must for everyone.
